Applicants applying from outside Stanford must visit Graduate Admissions before beginning the application process for complete application information and instructions.
It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that they meet all eligibility requirements before applying. All application materials, including supporting documents, must be received by the application deadline.
The Graduate Admissions period is open beginning in September each year for applications to be submitted by the published deadline in December (for matriculation beginning in the following academic year). After April 15th each year, the Graduate Admissions period is closed, and the online application will reopen during the following September.

Knight-Hennessy Scholars program is designed to build a multidisciplinary community of Stanford graduate students dedicated to finding creative solutions to the world’s greatest challenges. The program awards up to 100 high-achieving students every year with full funding to pursue a graduate education at Stanford, including the M.S. and Ph.D. in Statistics. To be considered, you must apply to Knight-Hennessy Scholars by September 12, 2018, at 1:00pm Pacific Time, and separately apply to the Statistics department by November 14, 2018.
