Department members and their families are cordially invited to the Statistics Holiday Lunch Party! Our annual winter festivities are reimagined for an all-outdoor event this year, so that means a fine luncheon is the theme.
Cindy Kirby reached a career milestone in 2020 — 25 years at Stanford — and the Statistics Department can finally gather in person to offer our congratulations! Desserts and coffee (of course) will be on hand to mark the occasion.

Come celebrate and congratulate Brad Efron on his retirement! We will have cake and a toast to the honoree in the courtyard on Thursday, October 21st, starting at 3:30 pm.
David, Disha, and Tim have exciting news: In-person teas are back at Sequoia Hall! Autumn Quarter Tea will be held Thursdays from 3:30 to 4:30pm, with the first get-together on September 30th in the Lounge/Courtyard. Come by for tea, snacks, and non-virtual mingling!
Dear Statistics Folks, the department’s autumn Welcome (Back) Party is set for Thursday, September 23rd, from 4 to 5:30pm. Come celebrate the start of a new academic year with good company, appetizers and drinks, all outdoors of course!
