Art Owen receives Noether Senior Scholar Award

Professor Owen is the 2020 recipient of the Noether Senior Scholar Award from the American Statistical Association. This honor is given each year to a distinguished senior researcher or teacher in nonparametric statistics. Named in tribute to Gottfried Emanuel Noether, the Award Committee selects the Noether Senior Scholar based on outstanding contributions to the theory or methodology of, or novel applications to, nonparametric statistics that have had substantial, sustained impact on the subject.
