David Siegmund awarded the 2023 Rao Prize

The C. R. and Bhargavi Rao Prize is awarded in odd-numbered years by the Department of Statistics at Penn State University. Previous recipients have included Grace Wahba, Herman Chernoff, and Brad Efron. It was established by C. R. and Bhargavi Rao to honor and recognize outstanding and influential innovations in the theory and practice of mathematical statistics, international leadership in directing statistical research, and pioneering contributions by a recognized leader in the field of statistics. Also announced is the 2023 Rao Prize Conference hosted by Eberly College of Science in May, where David will be the keynote speaker and receive this wonderful honor. Congratulations!
