Emmanuel Candès honored as Wald Lecturer at JSM 2017

The Wald Memorial Lectures are among the IMS Named Lectures invited each year by the Committee on Special Lectures, and are given in honor of Professor Abraham Wald. Emmanuel presented his talk, "What's Happening in Selective Inference?" on August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd during the Joint Statistical Meetings in Baltimore.

A great number of our department colleagues have been selected as Wald Lecturers over the years, namely, Charles Stein, Herman Chernoff, Ted Anderson, Brad Efron, David Siegmund, Persi Diaconis, David Donoho, Iain Johnstone, and Jerry Friedman.
