Noah Simon to receive NIH Director's Early Independence Award

Alumnus Noah Simon (PhD, 2013), now at the University of Washington, will receive one of these prestigious five-year career awards created in 2011 for top young biomedical researchers. The Early Independence Award provides an opportunity for exceptional junior scientists, who have recently received their doctoral degree or finished medical residency, to skip traditional post-doctoral training and move immediately into independent research positions. Only about 15 recipients are chosen each year across all disciplines; the full press release is expected by the end of this month.
