Robert Tibshirani has won the WNAR Outstanding Impact Award

The Western North American Region (WNAR) of The International Biometric Society (IBS) announced Rob Tibshirani as the recipient of the 2024 WNAR Outstanding Impact Award and Lectureship. The distinction recognizes significant impacts to biosciences and environmental sciences through service and/or research in development and application of statistical, mathematical, and data science theory and methods. Rob will present his award lecture "Cooperative learning and cooperative components analysis" at the Joint Statistical Meetings on Monday, August 5, at 2pm. Stanford Statistics is terrifically proud of him!
