The department announces that the Stanford Science Fellows program is now accepting applications for its 2022–2025 cohort of postdoctoral fellows. We want to encourage our community members to learn more about this important initiative. Interested candidates must apply by October 15, 2021.

The Stanford Science Fellows program seeks applications from outstanding graduating doctoral students and early-career postdocs committed to advancing foundational research. They will work across disciplines with exceptional scholars to help bring diversity of thought and experience to the global community of natural scientists. To support their research, Stanford Science Fellows have access to faculty and facilities in Stanford's Schools of Humanities and Sciences, Engineering, Medicine, and Earth as well as at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory.

Approximately 10 to 12 new fellows will be chosen. An important selection criterion is the commitment to enhancing demographic and intellectual diversity in the university's scientific community. Stanford Science Fellows are appointed for a term of three years. The program includes community-building activities to foster professional development and leadership skills, as well as workshops, seminars, and informal discussions with Stanford faculty and visitors.
