Tengyu Ma receives honorable mention for ACM Doctoral Dissertation Award

ACM, the Association for Computing Machinery, is the world's largest educational and scientific computing society and present one award annually in recognition of superior research and writing by doctoral candidates in computer science and engineering. Tengyu Ma received his PhD in Computer Science from Princeton University and his dissertation, "Non-convex Optimization for Machine Learning: Design, Analysis, and Understanding," has been selected for Honorable Mention status, one of only two additional titles recognized each year for this important distinction.
