Undergraduate Programs

Students wishing to build a concentration in probability and statistics are encouraged to consider declaring a major in Data Science. The B.S. option in this interdepartmental program was formerly called Mathematical and Computational Science. It provides a core training in computing, mathematics, operations research, and statistics, with opportunities for further elective work and specialization.

The Department of Statistics offers two minors for undergraduate students:

Statistics Minor

Complements degree programs in computer science, economics and the social and natural sciences

Data Science Minor

Gain practical knowledge of statistical data analytic methods as it relates to their major or field of interest.
