Google is rich in data, computers, and statisticians. But perhaps surprisingly, in the Search Ads team, we tend to avoid sophisticated statistical methods in favor of very simple analysis. In this talk, I'll explain why, and speculate about what this might say about the usefulness of sophisticated methodology more generally.
