Scott Linderman named a 2023 McKnight Scholar

The McKnight Endowment Fund for Neuroscience has selected ten neuroscientists to receive the 2023 McKnight Scholar Award, a prestigious early-career recognition of innovative investigators who represent the best young neuroscience faculty in the country. Professor Linderman's unique contributions at the intersection of neuroscience and statistics have earned him this extraordinary honor among the array of new Scholars. His ongoing work as well as future projects demonstrate a wide range of machine learning applications to neural research involving the kinds of data that researchers can't parse effectively using traditional methods. Thus, by developing methods to solve the problems of neurobiology, Scott is also helping to advance the fields of statistics and machine learning. And his colleagues here and at the Wu Tsai Neurosciences Institute offer their heartiest congratulations accordingly!
