Statistics Department hosts 2017 I&I Best Paper Prize

On Thursday, June 22nd, just ahead of the Math+Stats+X Conference in celebration of Dave Donoho's 60th birthday, the Statistics Department will host author presentations of submissions for the 2017 Information and Inference Best Paper Prize. Speakers will present their work for prize adjudicators and a general audience starting at 1:30pm in Room 200 of Sequoia Hall. The afternoon's full program as well as links to the shortlisted articles are available online. First and second prizes will be awarded later in the day based on the merit of the article and its presentation.

The Information and Inference Best Paper Prize highlights the best articles published by early-career researchers. This will be the second edition of this prize, celebrating articles published in the 2015 and 2016 issues of I&I.
