John Duchi named 2017 Sloan Research Fellow

John was among seven Stanford faculty recognized this year by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation as early-career scholars who represent the most promising scientific researchers working today. Nominated by their fellow scientists, winning fellows are selected by independent panels of senior scholars on the basis of each candidate’s independent research accomplishments, creativity, and potential to become a leader in his or her field.
